STATEMENT
This piece is a collection my grandmothers photos. The top row is a narrative- the first photo is my grandmothers family with a path running through them created from a damaged negative, the second is a car parked at a cemetery, the third a woman opening a large door, the fourth a paradise like image of a river. Underneath are a series of photos taken while my Grandmas family traveled across the country in an RV. The horizons of the photos were connected to create a continuous landscape. This landscape montage was flipped upside-down leaving the open sky at the bottom and creating a more fluid image. Above the image is a small spring scale holding dried flowers.
